Nepal flag is the only non quadrilateral flag in the world, it is comprised of two pennons and has a blue circumscribing border with sun and moon(Crescent) in the flag. The two pennons represent two religions, Hinduism and Buddhism or they represent cold and hot regions of Nepal. The pennon is a traditional symbol or flag of many Hindu temples, it is being flown on temple tops. The two pennons when are projected on a mirror form Nepalese Pagoda. Red color represents bravery of Nepalese people or it is sacred color of Hinduism, Blue represents peace, it also denotes Nepalese live in peace and harmony amidst of violence. Moon and sun represent Nepal exists till moon and sun exist. The flag earlier has human faces which are modified for modernization. The flag is a mathematical flag with various trigonometry involved.
