Turkey flag is of 2:3 ratio, where the flag is spread on red field. It has a crescent and 5 pointed star in the center flag colored in white, Closed side of crescent point towards hoist side of flag. The crescent is of half the height of flag. The flag according to some belief is said to be reflection of crescent and 5-pointed star in a pool filled with blood of Turkish warriors. White and Red color according to Turkic mythology are colors of south and west, which signify Ottoman empire and Oghuzes.
