Central African Republic flag is of 3:5 ratio, where horizontal strips are of equal dimensions. The vertical strip width is similar to horizontal strips width. The vertical strip is positioned at center of flag, the colors blue, white and red are derived from French tricolor flag and colors red,green and yellow are derived from Pan-African colors. The idea of Central African Republic is to ensure French and Africa should go together, so all the colors are used in conjunction. Blue represents Sky, white represents peace, red represents blood shed by people, green represents thick rain forests of country or hope, yellow represents tolerance.
