Vatican city is one of worlds square flag another being Switzerland, it is of 1:1 ratio. The colors yellow(referred to gold), white(referred to silver) resemble keys of George. It is also against normal hieroglyphic study where metals are allowed to be placed adjacently which also signifies god rule the world not man.
